CAN'T I LOOK AFTER THE DESIGN MYSELF?
Just like you hire a solicitor to advise you on legal matters, we are specialists in our field. We constantly get calls from people who have tried to go it alone and who are tearing their hair out because they can't get Council or lessor approvals, or because they've been quoted a ridiculously low fitout price which is now ballooning due to the lack of construction drawings, or because they've just realised the tenancy they've leased doesn't have the right power, or their layout doesn't work and they need to change it, or because the clip art they used on their 10,000 brochures breaches copywrite, is low res and has printed out all blurry. Every one of these people will attest that they thought they would save money designing and managing their own project but that it has ended up costing them much, much more than if they'd just contracted us in the first place. In securing our services, you get a specialist professional whose responsibility is to represent your interests and ensure you that get the best possible value from your budget, your space, your lessor, your shopfitter/tradespeople and relevant suppliers. We know all the tricks and we keep people honest.

CAN I GET A FREE QUOTE?
For graphic design enquiries we'll take a brief over the phone and then will send you a free quote within 24hrs. Our rates are quite competitive and reduced pricing is available to approved not-for-profit organisations. For interior design projects, we will generally travel up to an hour (one way) to meet with you and view your space (if you have one), and will then respond with a quote within 48hrs after the meeting, free of charge. If you are located more than one hour away then we can quote for free from photos, after a meeting conducted via phone or skype. Alternatively, we would be pleased to give you an hourly rate, plus costs, to meet with you person to person. Please let us know if you have a design and/or construction budget in mind and we will try to tailor a value solution for you.

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?
Please contact us for a free quote as this really does depend on the project. For interior design, we do not charge based on a percentage of the total project construction value (unlike architects) because this can lead to inflated construction quotes. Our pricing is based more realistically upon our experience of the hours required and is then checked against industry standards to ensure our offer is competitive. All projects are charged using a staged payment system and our Principal Designer can be hired for consultancy by the hour ($POA).

CAN YOU HELP ME CHOOSE A TENANCY AND A SHOPFITTER?
Yes, we would be pleased to give our opinion on the suitability of your shortlisted tenancies. We can identify features which do not meet current building code standards and for which you may incur the costs of rectification. We'd rather miss out on a project than see you go broke as a result of leasing the wrong tenancy. We are members of the Australian Shop and Office Fitting Industry Association and can recommend the most suitable shopfitters to tender on your project.

CAN I CONTACT YOU OUTSIDE OF NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS?
Absolutely. Unlike most design firms, we understand that our clients work during the day and that most fitouts happen overnight. On signing your contract with us, you will be given a phone number on which you can directly contact your designer after hours.

DO I OWN THE COPYRIGHT ON THE DESIGNS YOU PRODUCE FOR ME?
By law, copyright automatically belongs to the creator of the work (ie. us), even once you have paid for the design. You are licensed to use the design as we understand it was intended. We are happy to give you full rights over the use of your logo and basic brand elements, once these have been paid for in full.
